About Dr. Cabero

Dr. Katherine Cabero earned her doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Jose State University.

She received her extensive training at numerous hospitals throughout the United States including the Eye Institute in Philadelphia and the Veteran Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Cabero worked as both an optician and optometric technician for many years.

Dr Cabero’s clinical training includes comprehensive eye examinations for ages 4 and up, medical eye care, such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Disease, Hypertensive Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration and Cataracts; diagnosis and treatment of ocular surface disease, emergency eye care to include eye infections and foreign bodies, contact lens fittings, LASIK consultations and surgical co-management.

She is passionate about diagnosing and treatment of Dry Eye Disease and Orthokeratology or Night Lenses, to slow down myopia progression.

Dr. Cabero provides a personable and thorough eye exam experience for patients of all ages and enjoys building connections with those around her.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry as well as Pennsylvania Optometric Association.

In her free time Dr Cabero enjoys spending time with her family and friends, she is an avid reader and loves yoga.
